This fabulous articulated antique Victorian bracelet was made representing the Suffragette movement, Circa 1900.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking! Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
The stunning bracelet is decorated in sparkling white Paste Stones with a beautiful pink Paste in the centre, accompanied by two Emerald green Pastes at either side.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. White Pastes sparkle just like Diamonds and take expert craftsmanship to capture their beauty.
The bracelet is all set in Base Metal and fitted with a secure clasp and safety chain too.
This is an eye catching antique piece that looks fabulous when worn!
