This is an extremely pretty acrostic 'DEAREST' ring. Crafted in a strong, 9ct Gold, it features (from within a beautifully deocrated gallery) 7 gemstones, comprising a diamond, 2 emeralds, an amethyst, ruby, sapphire and topaz. The first letter of each precious gemstone spells out the word, 'DEAREST'.

This very romantic vintage ring would have been a sentimental gift given to to a loved one as a token of affection, and to demonstrate that the giver held them as their 'dearest'. It is marked for 9ct Gold and Birmingham and I would date it to the 1950's.

This 'dearest' ring is in fabulous condition, with just some age related wear to the gemstones (eg: light gem rub marks) as would be expected with a ring of this age. It is currently a UK ring size M 1/2, which is a US size of 6 1/2. It is re-sizable by your local jeweller, and it weighs 2.30g
